• Attended St. Peter’s School in Lewiston until age 10. Then attended Holy Angels School in Arcadia, California.
• Graduate of Bishop Amat High School in La Puente, California.
• Associate of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Maine at Augusta with Distinction.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in the Administration of Justice from The University of Maine at Augusta with Distinction.
• Graduate of the FBI National Academy.
• Graduate of the New England Law Enforcement Management Training Institute at Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts.

  Employment
   
  Retired from the most recent employment as the Associate Director of the Maine Institute of Public Safety Innovation at The University of Maine at Augusta. Served twenty-five years on the Lewiston Police Department rising through the ranks to chief of police, a position he held for five years before retiring to accept an appointment as the United States Marshal for the District of Maine by President Bill Clinton on recommendation from Senator George J. Mitchell. He also served as a staff assistant to Senator Susan M. Collins. Served a tour of duty in Vietnam during the war as a member of the United States Army.

• President, Franco-American Heritage Center Board of Directors.
• Served on the Lewy’s Legion Board of Directors for the Lewiston MAINEiacs Hockey Team.
• Served on the Holy Cross Parish Council and School Board.
• Knights of Columbus (K of C) Council 106 member.
• Chaired K of C Basketball Free-Throw Championships for boys & girls ages 10-14 for 15 years and co-chaired K of C road races.
• Officiates at Bates College Track Meets.

          Married to the former Patricia (Pat) Rodrigue of Augusta, Maine (39 years).

          Three adult children, Karen, Karla and Laurent Jr. (Larry).
