Employment
Retired from the most recent employment as the Associate Director of the Maine Institute of Public Safety Innovation at The University of Maine at Augusta. Served twenty-five years on the Lewiston Police Department rising through the ranks to chief of police, a position he held for five years before retiring to accept an appointment as the United States Marshal for the District of Maine by President Bill Clinton on recommendation from Senator George J. Mitchell. He also served as a staff assistant to Senator Susan M. Collins. Served a tour of duty in Vietnam during the war as a member of the United States Army.
